The Challenge

Despite having access to a wide range of data from different sources, the city was finding it difficult to organize and visualize this data in a way that would allow decision-makers and managers to use it effectively.

The challenge was to establish a system that could standardize, visualize and use this data for decision making.

The Solution

The smart city strategy implied defining the different sources of information and developing a standardized format that would allow the integration of data from different sources.

International and national standards were applied, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

A data management system was implemented to collect, process and present data in a visual format that facilitated decision-making.

The Impact

Epsilon City identified areas where resources were being used inefficiently, allowing these resources to be redirected to areas of greater need.

In addition, data visualization enabled decision makers and managers to identify trends and patterns, allowing them to anticipate problems and take proactive measures.
